Among the many treasures of Rappahannock County is a strong spirit of community and the desire of citizens to volunteer - both valued traditions. The diversity and depth of skill and knowledge among our residents is coupled with willingness to share their expertise to improve the quality of life for our community. Neighboring communities esteem our reputation for being creative, collaborative and achieving goals that are not possible in their own counties.

We care about many things - our neighbors and their families, education and youth development, environmental protection, cultural vibrancy, county heritage, and agricultural pursuits among them. Rappahannock is truly privileged to have such a large number of talented full and part-time residents who give generously of their time and resources to create a special community with benefits for all.
